⋆HYBRID ‘BEST OF’ SHOW LIMITED EDITION 180G TRANSPARENT GREEN VINYL
On August 30, 1972, JOHN LENNON & YOKO ONO/Plastic Ono Band with Elephant’s Memory and Special Guests headlined two historic ONE TO ONE Concerts at Madison Square Garden, New York City. These charitable benefit shows played to a combined audience of 40,000 people and helped to raise over $1.5 million to support children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They were John Lennon’s only full-length concerts after leaving The Beatles and the last two full-length concerts that John & Yoko performed together.
Excerpts from the concerts were featured as part of ONE TO ONE - the critically acclaimed documentary about John & Yoko, directed by Kevin Macdonald and Executive Produced by Sean Ono Lennon, and POWER TO THE PEOPLE – the films of the concerts, directed by Simon Hilton – are due for release next year.
Produced by SEAN ONO LENNON leading his 5 x GRAMMY Award-winning team, both concerts have been completely remixed and re-engineered from scratch by PAUL HICKS and SAM GANNON, using brand new HD multitrack transfers by ROB STEVENS, with the mixes mastered by ALEX WHARTON at Abbey Road Studios. Both concerts are condensed here into a single ‘Hybrid’ show.
This Limited Edition 2LP in transparent green vinyl is housed in printed rice paper inner sleeves, with custom disc labels across four sides, within a gatefold sleeve, encased in a rigid clear O-card with a printed logo.
