Fans of the Florida-bred lineup dig the alternate approach, indicated by the success of 2018's stripped version of their song 'Johnny Cash', which kicked open doors for the album that would become 'The Stripped Sessions'. This track received the full-band treatment on Deadweight, but Quistad notes, 'the acoustic version of that song does better for us than the full metal version'. A stripped-down version Deadweight's 'Gravity' also struck a chord with fans. Recorded in Florida's The Audio Compound, 'The Stripped Sessions' was produced by Quistad and Andrew Wade, who has worked with the band previously. Jeremy MacKinnon from A Day To Remember co-produces the LP's new track, a stunning re-working of the Johnny Cash's song 'Folsom Prison Blues'.
