In the 1970s, the experimental vibraphonist and marimba player Bobby Hutcherson made a few forays into more commercial territory with Blue Note. An absolute highlight of this creative phase was the 1975 album 'Montara'. Driven by an excellent band with six percussionists, Hutcherson offers a truly intoxicating mixture of Latin jazz and fusion grooves that is bursting with good humor.
