Released on April 12, 2005, through Island / Def Jam Records, The Emancipation of Mimi is Mariah Carey’s tenth studio album and is widely regarded as her “comeback” project. It became her best-selling album featuring hit singles “We Belong Together,” “Shake It Off,” “Don’t Forget About Us,” and “It’s Like That.”

The album will be reissued in a 2LP, which includes a new bonus track making its debut on vinyl, “We Belong Together (Mimi’s Late Night Valentine’s Mix)”.
