The debut from Tha Dogg Pound — the duo of Daz Dillinger and Kurupt — channels the raw energy of the post–Doggystyle era into a hard-hitting, funk-laced record full of vivid street storytelling, razor-sharp lyricism, and laid-back menace. Produced largely by Daz himself, the album balances glossy synth grooves with a grimy realism that captures the sound of mid-’90s Los Angeles at its peak.
