The Rubinoos' self-titled debut album is a power pop classic containing the hit 'I Think We're Alone Now' as well as the anthemic 'Rock and Roll Is Dead', which in the context of the disco-era in which this album was released, was almost accurate. At the time of release, the influential New York Rocker declared the album, 'The best pop album of the decade'.
