ZAYN announces 5th studio album KONNAKOL

ZAYN has announced his fifth studio album, KONNAKOL, set for release on the 17th of April 2026 via Mercury Records. The announcement follows the release of his lead single “Die For Me”, which offers the first official preview of the new record.

KONNAKOL is available to pre-order through The Record Hub, including a limited-edition cover and a fifth edition element colour variant.

A New Chapter

KONNAKOL marks the next chapter in ZAYN’s solo career. The album follows 2024’s Room Under the Stairs and arrives after a period of sustained creative activity, including his first-ever Las Vegas residency, where fans were given an early preview of material from the new record.

The album is described as ZAYN’s most culturally inspired project to date, drawing on themes of heritage and identity. The snow leopard featured on the album artwork which is a powerful symbol in South Asia, reflects the influence of his background on the record’s direction.

Speaking about the album, ZAYN said:

“It’s that time again, I have been lucky enough to make a fifth studio album… KONNAKOL in its definition is the act of creating percussive sounds with one’s voice but what it means to me lies somewhere much deeper. It is a sound that holds the reverberation of a time before words existed. I have always drawn on my heritage for inspiration since I first started making my own music, this album is a development of that understanding, knowing more now than ever, who I am, where I come from and where I intend to go.”

Lead Single "Die For Me"

The release of lead single “Die For Me” offers the first official preview of the new record. The track introduces the album’s direction and themes, offering an early indication of the direction of his fifth studio record.

ZAYN recently appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast, where he also performed “Die For Me”.
